I Finally Played Angry Birds

After all the chaos and cult like activity around Angry Birds, I finally get it.  It's outrageously stupid and simple, but addicting as hell.  I'm playing it on the Chrome App, amazing.

Google Chrome Capturing 10% of The Market

My love for Google Chrome is not hidden or shaded by any means.  I love it.  I love it like I love my Macbook Pro, my iPhone, and my '97 Nike AirMax's in all brown.  And you know what?  Everyone else is starting to love it too....
At the expense of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Google’s Chrome has secured a 10% market share for the first time ever, according to Web metrics company Net Applications. What’s more, Google’s Web browser more than doubled its share over the past year, beating its own expectations for market penetration. In 2009, Google hoped that Chrome would have 5% of the market by September 2010, and 10% for September 2011. “Unless Chrome stalls, Google’s browser should own a 16% share by September,” writes PCWorld. Meanwhile, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer lost 1.4% points of usage share in December, the largest one-month decline in more than two years. According to Net Applications. IE’s total share fell to 57.1%, another record low for Microsoft’s browser. Overall, IE has lost 5.6% points in the last 12 months, and 10.7 points since IE8 was introduced in March 2009. Also of note, Apple’s Safari share of the market rose to 5.9% of the market at the end of the year, while Firefox and Opera Software’s Opera both gained small amounts of share last month to finish the year at 22.8% and 2.2%, respectively.
Let's face it, no one is competing right now with Chrome's open source app development environment and they are driving the way designers and developers approach the web. I'll drink a beer to open source right now!

Ford recalls F-series pickups, Edge, Lincoln MKX - Yahoo! News

Speaking of things that are scary...

Ford recalls F-series pickups, Edge, Lincoln MKX - Yahoo! News

Editors note- the only reason I posted this in such fashion is because I was testing out Blogger's Chrome extension 'Blog This.'  I've said it before and I'll say it again; the open source platform and app environment on Google Chrome is hands down the most efficient and groundbreaking browser in the market.  I challenge anyone to bring me one better.

Google Chrome App Market Is Awesome

Google Chrome has been getting all kinds of press recently as they continue to develop their OS. I've been a Mac user my whole life, but would seriously consider a PC for personal use if this OS comes to fruition. I use Chrome as my browser and the app functionality really blows me away. Take the above Gilt Group app for example...it mimics the functionality of the iPhone/iPad app that Gilt built and it takes full advantage of the visual space allotted by the browser. It's this type functionality that is totally changing the way we view a browser, and more importantly, the way designers and developers look at the browser and OS landscape.

In theory, if the app market continues to grow, I'm willing to bet certain brands move their emphasis from an engaging destination site to a fully functional app. Gilt Groupe is the perfect example; looking at the app, and understanding this is a retail company, why would they ever need a site when an app is so much easier to develop and manage?

I'm A Huge Fan Of The Safari 4 Browser For Mac

Using my PC at work has always pained me. But one of the few things that kept me going was Google's Chrome browser. I absolutely loved it and have been waiting for them to create a Mac version. Well finally Mac has released a public Beta of Safari 4, and it clearly resembles the best parts of Chrome. From smart searching, to expose style Top Sites windows, it really has all the fluidity and personalization a browser should have. In all honesty though, I'm way too lazy to pick apart the individual pieces so I found a great review online from a guy with whom I agree whole heartedly.

Just click here to get to the review....
